The Difference Between Single-Layer/Jacketed Glass Reactor

At present, there are a variety of glass reactors on the market, which are suitable for production or experimental occasions.  Among them, single-layer glass reactor and double-layer glass reactor are common equipment.  So, what's the difference between these two kinds of glass reactors?

Single-layer glass reactor can complete high temperature, low temperature and vacuum reaction experiment at the same time, simple operation, reaction process is clear, convenient to control the reaction process, is the ideal test and production equipment for modern synthetic chemical industry, biopharmaceutical and new material preparation.

The double-layer glass reactor is designed for double-layer glass, the inner layer of the reaction medium can be stirred, and the interlayer of the glass reactor can be passed on different cold and hot sources (freezing liquid, water or hot oil) for circulating heating or cooling reaction.  In the closed glass reactor under set constant temperature conditions, stirring reaction can be carried out under atmospheric or negative pressure conditions according to the requirements of use, and reflux and distillation of reaction solution can be done.  Double glass reactor is the ideal equipment for modern fine chemical industry, biopharmaceutical and new material synthesis.

Double glass reactor is a single reactor based on multiple functions.  And after years of improvement, the reactor based on a single multi-functional glass reactor, to achieve convenient high and low temperature control, rapid temperature rise, experimental process cooling requirements, modern laboratory, chemical, pharmaceutical and other requirements.

The difference is that the body of the double-glass reactor is divided into two layers, and the middle part of the outer layer and the inner layer is called the sandwich.  The heating of the double glass reactor is done entirely through the interlayer.

Specifically, the double-layer kettle is first connected to the interlayer of the circulating oil bath through the thermal oil, and the power supply can be plugged in to heat the material;  The same is true for low temperature reactions, where the solvent in the sandwich is replaced by ethanol.  The interlayer can make the heat of the material uniform, and it is convenient to directly observe the stirring reaction process of the material.  Through the sandwich, the double glass reactor can not only complete the high temperature experiment, but also complete the low temperature reaction.  The single-layer glass reactor is equipped with its own heating device, which does not need to be heated by sandwich.
